NO CHILD WILL BE DENIED HOT LUNCH OR MILK IF THEY DO NOT HAVE MONEY.  THEY NEED TO BRING IT TO OUR ATTENTION.

Accounts

We will be continuing our snap system program.  Each student has his/her own debit account to purchase hot lunch, milk, chips and ice cream.  To access this account each student has been assigned a PIN#.  This number will remain the same until your child leaves St. Timothy.  If your child is only planning to buy milk and does not want to wait in the lunch line, (s)he may pay with cash without waiting in line. 

To set up your child's account you may send one check for the entire family or one check for each child along with an explanation on how to disburse the money.  Each account is divided into either lunch or cash.  The lunch section is used to purchase hot lunch only (not milk).  The cash section is used to purchase anything (milk, chips, ice cream and hot lunch.  You decide where your money will go.  If there is no designation, we will will put the funds in your child's cash account.

MAKE ALL CHECKS PAYABLE TO ST. TIMOTHY KITCHEN.  PLACE IN AN ENVELOPE MARKED "KITCHEN" AND PUT YOUR CHILD'S PIN NUMBER ON ALL PAYMENTS.  IT MAY TAKE 24 HOURS TO PROCESS PAYMENTS.

When an account has a negative balance, you will receive a notice at the end of the month.  Once the lunch credits are depleted, the system automatically deducts from the cash account.  Please consider any purchases made after notification, when considering the amount to place back into your child's account.

Snacks

Kindergarten students will not be permitted to purchase snacks or ice cream until January, 2008.  At that time, they will be able to purchase on a limited basis. First grade students are permitted to purchase ice cream and snacks on Tuesday and Thursdays. Second grade students are permitted to purchase ice cream and snacks on Monday and Wednesdays.  Third through Eighth graders may purchase snacks and ice cream Monday through Fridays.

Volunteers

The Kitchen Staff needs volunteers to assist with the following: Selling Ice Cream and Chips from 11:00 - 1:20 Tuesdays through Friday.  This is a great way to see all of your children during their lunch periods.   Sign up for one day each week; Helping out on Pizza Days from 10:50 - 1:15. In order to serve pizza, the staff needs an additional 3-4 people to assist.  They sell up to 900 pieces of pizza and could really use the help on these occasional Fridays; Thursday hot lunch preparations from 9:30 - 11:00.  The preparation for certain lunches require extra help. Volunteer for as many Thursdays as you are able to commit. Contact kitchen managers, Belinda Salzano or Karen Yee for more information or to volunteer.
