LIBRARY: KB has library on Thursdays, Please return and (over)due library books each week by Thursday.

CAMERAS: Please send in a disposible camera with your child's name on in.  Throughout the year we will take pictures of your child with his/her camera during our special events and parties.  The camera will be sent back to you at the end of the year so that you can develop and keep the pictures.

CAR POOL PICK-UP:  If your child is a carpool rider, please refer to the school handbook for specific directions for the car pool line.  Please do not wait at the front doors of the school or by our classroom to pick up your child. 

EARLY DISMISSAL : If you must pick up your child early, please submit a note that morning so that we are aware that your child is leaving and can have them packed up and ready to go.

ABSENTEEISM: Please send a note each time your child misses school.  You may email the note.

ARCHIVED EMAILS: Emails are sent home regularly with the week's activities and special notices. Copies of these emails are archived online for your reference.

Room Mother

The room mother for KB is Barbara Forster.  She will be in contact with each family regarding volunteering in and outside the classroom for special events; during Art, Computer, PE and Library; and will forward schoolwide PTO announcements via email.  To assist her in communicating with the class, please contact her with your email address and willingness to volunteer. She is available via email at: RMKB@sainttimothyschool.org.

Volunteering

To volunteer for one of the Specials Classes, please contact your Room Mothe rwho will prepare a schedule of volunteers for Art, Library, PE and Computers.  For your convenience, schedules are available online.  All volunteers must have completed the Virtus child-safety program.  If you are interested in volunteering in the classroom, let me know and I will make arrangements to have you come in and work with a small group.

Food

Please pack a lunch/sandwich and two healthy snacks for your child each day (except Monday when we have one snack).  If you pack an item like pudding, applesauce or peaches in a cup, please pack a plastic spoon.  Hot lunches begin September 11 and will be available Tuesday - Friday.   The menu will be available online. 

Peanut-Free Classroom

For the protection of students in our classroom with allergies, the KB classroom has a nut-free policy. Do not send any snacks with your child that have ingredients containing nuts or shell fish.  This includes snacks being distributed to the entire class as well as snacks consumed by your child in the classroom.  You may send items containing nuts for lunch, which is eaten in the cafeteria (such as a peanut butter sandwich).

Take Home Folder

Please be sure to check your child's folder each night.  If you have something for me, please send items to school in this folder.

Communication

The best way to reach me is through email or a note in your child's backpack.  I will be sending emails to the class which are available online for your reference. 

PE

The children will have PE two days per week, Wednesday and Friday.  Students that wear the preschool/kindergarten uniform do not have a separate PE uniform but must be certain to wear sneakers.  Those students that have opted to wear the 1st-6th grade uniform must wear the PE uniform (or preschool/kindergarten uniform) on Wednesdays and Fridays.

Uniforms

Please refer to the student handbook (available online) or the uniform page of the website for specific uniform requirements for the kindergarten. This is a transitional year for St. Timothy School as the upper grades switch to a new uniform.  The preschool/kindergarten uniform remains unchanged.  Kindergarten students are permitted to wear the 1st-6th grade uniforms, except on PE days, but must comply with the requirements of wearing the new or old uniform in its entirety.  Michelle Lodge has used preschool/kindergarten available for a small fee which benefits the school.
