FEBRUARY Newsletter
Thank you all for making my 32nd Birthday a memorable one. I enjoyed the special gifts and
the celebration with my students. I am blessed with such sweet students and parents. Please welcome two new Yellow Bunnies to our class: Marianne and Andrew.
The Yellow Bunnies are busy this month getting ready for their Valentine's Day Activity.
Parents, please send in with your child an empty cereal box covered with white paper (leaving the top part open) no later then February 6th. We will be decorating the boxes
in school for their Valentine's Day exchange party. The Yellow Bunnies should bring in Valentines signed by them but not addressed to any particular student. Each student will be receiving a Valentine from their classmates so there will be no need to address the Valentines! The Yellow Bunnies will be celebrating their Valentine's Activity Day on February 13th for the MWF am session and on February 14th for the TTH am and pm session.
A special note, we are blessed with so many wonderful gifts and I cannot thank The Yellow
Bunny Parents enough. The Yellow Bunnies would like to make Valentine's Day brighter
for other children in another country. The children in Afghanistan are without socks from the
ages of 5 and up. The children are walking around with bare feet everyday. If you are interested
in donating a pair of socks please contact me at slombardo@sainttimothyschool.org. The deadline to ship these socks will be February 8th, 2008. That way the children in Afghanistan
can receive the socks on or around Valentine's Day.

DECEMBER Newsletter
Dear Yellow Bunny Parent(s):
Parents, thank you all for the donations for the special Unit in Afganistan. The stocking stuffers were a success! The Yellow Bunnies made special Christmas Cards
as well for the unit. The packages were sent out on November 15th, 2007.
The year is going by so fast, I cannot believe it is December. This month
the Yellow Bunnies are getting ready to celebrate the Birth of Jesus Christ. The
Yellow Bunnies will learn about loving others and why we celebrate the Advent
Season. The Yellow Bunnies are working on sharing and using their words as well.
The Yellow Bunnies have also been having fun wit, the magic box, is a box that consists of items that begin with the letter of the week. For example, if the letter G is in the Magic Box, the items could be gloves, and a toy guerilla. Another example, if the letter is B in the Magic Box, the box might have a toy banana, a stuffed bear, etc. The Yellow Bunnies relate well to the Magic Box and after it’s the teacher’s turn to share , the Yellow Bunnies share their items.
The Yellow Bunnies would like to invite their parent(s) or grandparent(s),
to help celebrate the Birth of Jesus Christ during advent by offering a time slot to
come in and read to the children. Parent(s)/Grandparent(s) you must be virtus trained to
sign up for the time slot or in the process of being virtus trained. The form went out the week after Thanksgiving Break.
The weather continues to grow colder please send the Yellow Bunnies in with
Jackets, mittens, and hats. We plan on going outside even though the weather progresses to get cold. Please label all items that belong to your child.
During the advent season the Yellow Bunnies will be adopting a family from the Church. Every Christmas St. Timothy’s Parish has a Christmas tree at the Church. The
Christmas tree has Angel ornaments. The Angel Ornaments have a family that are in need of clothing/food. The Yellow Bunnies will be picking their family next week. We will let you know more when we have picked the family.
The Yellow Bunnies continue to grow and make progress everyday. I am very pleased with the Yellow Bunnies. If you have any questions please email me at Slombardo@sainttimothyschool.org .

NEWSLETTER, September 2007
Dear Yellow Bunny Parent(s),
Welcome to St. Timothy School Preschool! Mrs. Aguilera and I are very
excited that you are joining us for the new school year.
My name is Miss Sarah Lombardo I will be your child’s teacher for the
school year 2007-2008. I received my BA in Early Childhood Education
and am presently working on my Masters at Marymount University. I have
been on the St. Timothy School staff for 7 years. I love teaching.
My assistant is Mrs. Claudia Aguilera. She has two boys who also came to the Yellow Bunnies. She has been on St Timothy’s staff since last year .She was the Spanish Teacher for the Junior High. This year she is ready to be helping the Bunnies and helping me too.
I am looking forward to a great year with the Yellow Bunnies. This month the Yellow Bunnies will be developing social skills. The Yellow Bunnies are learning basic rules
and how to play with each other.
The Curriculum will begin in October. I will be sending home a list of letters and the
week the letters will be introduced. Also, once a week the Yellow Bunnies will have “show and tell”. I will give each Yellow Bunny a day. The Yellow Bunny will be
responsible to bring in an object that begins with that letter. I prefer no guns,
power rangers, or swords as a show and tell item. For example, if the letter of the
week is A, you could send in an apple or a picture of an airplane or a toy airplane.
Thank you parents for your support and cooperation during the first week of
school. Thanks again for the supplies. The Yellow Bunnies love to help clean.
If you have any questions please contact me at slombardo@sainttimothyschool.org.
More information will be coming to you following this newsletter.
