Graduation for Green Sailboats is Fri, May 30th from 10-11AM for the morning class.
Graduation for Green Sailboats is Fri, May 30th from 2-3 PM for the afternoon class.

I will be contacting Room Mothers for donations of cookies and juice.

I hope that everyone has a wonderful summer, and we will be looking to see our little preschoolers in their new uniforms next year!

Thank you for your kindness and generosity.

NEWSLETTER, March 2008

Dear Parents,

During this Lenten Season, we have been talking about the importance of  Easter, and Jesus’ sacrifice.  We will be reading the Easter story every week, and hopefully visit the Church to look at the Stations of the Cross Statues.  I have done this every year, and the children enjoy it very much.

Both classes will be enjoying their Easter Party on Friday March 14th.  If you wish to contribute to the party in any way, please contact your room mother.  I will be giving both Mrs. Fong, and Mrs. Lodge some instructions shortly, as the date draws closer.

When we return from Easter Break, we will begin a review of the entire alphabet, and start our session on Bugs, Spring and Spring Animals.

The children enjoy these segments very much, because we have very cute animal crafts to accompany the lessons….

Hope to see you all very soon.

NEWSLETTER, February 2008

Greetings to all!  This February, I will be concentrating on Lent.  We hope that Father will visit us on Feb. 6th to distribute the Ashes to our little ones.  We will be doing various worksheets and coloring pages on Lent.  Also,  the children will be preparing a “Stations of the Cross” coloring booklet that will come home before Easter Break.  We will be visiting the Church to observe the various Stations of the Cross.

We will also be focusing on one of our favorite celebrations…Valentine’s Day.  You will notice many heart shaped projects coming home during that time.  I am sure the kids will be very proud to show off their work!

We continue to draw to the end of our alphabet, and I am confident that they will be well prepared in that area as they enter Kindergarten next year.

It seems to be shaping up into a very busy February indeed!

NEWSLETTER January 2008

Happy New Year to all!  Best wishes to everyone!

I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of you for the wonderful gifts and gift cards.  Your generosity is overwhelming!  We are very blessed to have such wonderful and caring parents, here at St. Tim’s.

Thank you kindly to Mrs. Fong and Mrs. Lodge for organizing the wonderful Holiday parties for the children.  Many thanks also to all the mothers who contributed their time and energy in making those parties a success.

Now that the New Year is upon us, we will continue to focus on the completion of the alphabet and start a small section on “Winter Animals”.  We will be keeping some of the art in the classroom in preparation for the DFE.
As always we will continue our Bible stories and we will cover a large section on the Stations of the Cross in early Feb., as Lent approaches.

We hope the children will continue to grow and learn during the remainder of their time here in Pre-K!

Thank you always for your support and co-operation.

Mrs. Sanitate

NEWSLETTER December 2007

Dear Parents,

As Christmas approaches, this promises to be a very busy month.  We have lots of art activities planned, and our Parties are always something that all children and parents look forward to.

Parents have been asking me if they are allowed to come to the parties…the rule is that any parent who is Virtus trained may attend our parties.  This is a St. Timothy policy.   With that said, I hope to see many of you on Dec. 14th, our Party day.  Our room mothers will be contacting you as to the necessities of the Party.

Last month, we had a very successful Feast thanks to the hard work and organization of Mrs. Fong and Mrs. Lodge.  I would like to thank all the mothers who contributed to the Feast.  The children were very excited to do their Thanksgiving crafts, and they turned out great!

I managed to take the PM class to Mass, since they attended the AM session, right before Thanksgiving, and the children were all very well behaved!  It was a joy to see!  You parents should be very proud!

Because this is our DFE year, we will be keeping some of our Art projects in storage for when the DFE team inspects our school this spring.  We ask your patience during this time, as the children are always excited to show off their art to their parents, but we will be keeping a good lot of their art in storage until the final DFE inspection.  Do not worry, parents, I will be sending the art home as soon as the team has completed their task in our school.

Please remember that every Monday there is a 10:45 dismissal.  Many parents forget now that the Christmas rush is upon us.  Our next DFE Monday will be January14 with the PM class attending during the morning hours.  Pick up is 11:30.

We have almost completed the AM rounds for the statue of the Blessed Virgin Mary.  Soon, I will be starting to hand the statue over to the PM class.

I know the children look forward to having the statue of Mary in a very special place in their home!

Thank you and God bless!

Mrs. Sanitate

NEWSLETTER November 2007

Dear Green Sailboat Parents,

November is upon us!!  We have started our month in a very special way, by celebrating All Saints Day at Mass.  With the help of our wonderful mothers, grandmothers and fathers, we were able to take our AM class to Mass today for the first time.  I would personally like to thank, Mrs. Nguyen Sr., Mrs. Fish Sr., Mr. Phan, Mrs. Driggers, Mrs. Christie, and Mrs. Whitfield.  Without the help of these lovely parents and grandparents, we would have not been able to expose our little preschoolers to the importance of going to Mass with our school. Although we will do this very sporadically throughout the year, it is nice to see their shining little faces in the community!

Of course, we will be having our little Thanksgiving Feast on November 20th for the AM and the PM class.  I am sure that our wonderful room moms, Mrs. Fong and Mrs. Lodge will contact you if they need any help or supplies. I would also like to thank Mrs. Fong for providing our AM class with a treat from the “Halloween Fairy”, and Mrs. Hild, for providing a small craft and some delicious cookies for our PM class.  I greatly appreciate your time and effort to both our classes. We are very blessed to have such caring and giving parents!!

I will be sending home reminder notices with your day and time of your Conference next week.  Please be sure to mark these important notes on your calendar.  I will not be calling you to remind you ,so if you miss your appointment, you will probably be rescheduled at a much later date.

I look forward to seeing you all during Conference time.  Please be sure to note the different days and times that your child will be attending school during Conference Week, as it is very different from our normal schedule.  Conference Week schedules went home 2 weeks ago in the Green Folder.

NEWSLETTER October, 2007

Dear Green Sailboat Parents,

Our first month of school was fabulous!  The children are still getting to know one another, and we are enjoying the last days of the warm summer sunshine.  The children have been very successful with the completion of their names, and we will keep practicing until they are perfect.
The month of October will be dedicated to all things that pertain to the upcoming Fall Season.  You will notice lots of Apple and Leaf art coming home.

The November Conference Schedule will be posted outside my room next week.  Please walk in personally, and sign up for your desired time.  Failure to do so will result in no conference for your child.  This service is on a first come, first serve basis.

We will also be taking many outdoor Nature Walks in order to complete some autumn art projects.  They children are very excited about this!  I have enjoyed getting acquainted with them, this past month, and I especially love hearing their funny stories during Chat Time.

Please note that October brings a few schedule changes which are posted on the Website.  Please note the hours for Mondays especially.  Due to our DFE this year, St. Timothy will have many such changes.  Please keep yourselves posted on those website changes, so that carpool runs smoothly for everyone.

I look forward to spending a warm and cozy October with the kids as we learn to love the wonders of Fall.

See you all very soon,
Mrs. P. Sanitate

NEWSLETTER September, 2007

Dear Parents,

Welcome to St. Timothy Preschool!  I am very happy to be your teacher this year and I hope to be meeting all of you very soon.  The Green Sailboats are in for a very exciting ride as they commence their journey into the wonders of learning!

My main focus is to teach them the basics that they will need for Kindergarten, so that they may be successful and curious of the world around them.  I also stress our Faith very heavily.  From play-time to learning our alphabet, we constantly keep in mind that Jesus is around us and is helping us to learn about our surroundings.

The children will learn the “Our Father”, “Hail Mary” and other small prayers throughout the school year.  Please be sure to practice with them…they are very excited to share their accomplishments.

All information regarding the classroom will come home in their Green Folders every Friday.  Please make sure to read all pertinent information, and to check the website for my monthly newsletter.   The website is the most wonderful way to keep you informed of the events at St. Timothy and our Preschool.  Many of your questions can be answered through the website.

If an issue arises, please feel free to contact me via my email address or by placing a note in your child’s backpack.  It is my pleasure to serve you and your family in any way possible, in order to make your child’s experience in preschool, a positive one.  I firmly believe that a communion of school and home, make for a successful student, even at an early age.

I look forward to meeting everyone in person very soon,

God Bless,

Mrs. Patricia Sanitate
