2010-2011 School Year Tuition

2010-11 Diocese of Arlington Tuition Grant Program
We strongly suggest applications be submitted as soon as possible as awards are made on a rolling basis until the following deadlines. Contact Karen Toohey for assistance with applications.
High Schools: January 25, 2010
Elementary Schools: March 15, 2010
* All families with children enrolled in both High School and Elementary School will need to submit an
application for the High School deadline.
The Catholic Diocese of Arlington is pleased to provide the Diocesan Tuition Grant Program for parents of
students attending our Diocesan Catholic schools who meet the criteria listed below. This parish supported program awards
approximately $2.3 million annually.
Each year interested families are asked to complete a FACTS student aid application form, which must be
submitted by the deadlines listed below. All applications must be submitted along with a $25 processing fee and
all supporting documentation to FACTS, an independent assessment company contracted by the Diocese of
Arlington that provides a confidential and objective economic analysis to determine a family's financial need for
tuition assistance.
The Diocesan Tuition Grant Program eligibility requirements call for students in grades Kindergarten through
grade 12 (Pre-K is not eligible) to fulfill all of the following criteria:
• Student attends or is accepted by a Diocesan Catholic school
• Student is a baptized Catholic or convert officially received into the Church;
• Family resides within the boundaries of the Diocese of Arlington;
• Family is a registered and active member of a parish in the Diocese of Arlington or a military
base parish;
Individual schools make final decisions regarding the actual distribution of awards for that academic year. Once
these have been made, the Office of Catholic Schools submits the funds from the Diocesan Tuition Grant
Program directly to the schools to be credited to the tuition accounts of approved families. Applications
can be completed on line (www.factstuitionaid.com).
Only one application is needed per family. Please be sure to answer all questions and submit all supporting
documentation requested per the instructions. The deadlines for submitting an application with all supporting
documentation are as follows:
The Office of Catholic Schools appreciates your continued commitment in providing a quality Catholic
education for your children.
