Principal's Letter
Dear Saint Timothy School families,
Our Catholic Schools Week celebration continues! Even though the formal week of celebration has come to end, we have much for which to be grateful. In our opening ceremony we sang about ‘Faith’. Our faculty/alumni vs. students basketball game gave us an opportunity to recognize the faith commitment of one of our former teachers, Mrs. Barbara Mertens, and the sense of community that exists among faculty and students, both past and present. On Thursday evening and Friday morning, we opened our doors to others who may want to join our Saint Timothy School family. We were extraordinarily blessed to have almost 40 families come and ‘check us out’!
All of the reasons that we have to celebrate are grounded in our faith community that has prayed hard and worked hard so that the Word of God is known and experienced by all with whom we interact. I feel personally blest to be part of such a warm and generous community.
As we look ahead through February, I encourage you to remember to re-register if you have not yet done so. We have begun to prepare for next year, and it is important to have all the information we need to plan for success! We will be beginning our Lenten journey shortly. February 22nd is Ash Wednesday and as a faith community we will walk with our Lord recalling our need for repentance and a change of heart. As we make this journey together, please know that you and your entire family will be in my thoughts and prayers.
