Spirituality

As a ministry of St. Timothy Catholic Parish, we endeavor at St. Timothy School to foster students’ spiritual growth through an education rooted in the Catholic faith.

All students receive daily instruction in religion and the catechesis of the Roman Catholic Church, and our faith is integrated into students’ lives. Each day begins and ends with prayer. Students say Grace before and after meals. Each Friday, we attend Mass as a school community, as well as on Holy Days of Obligation.

St. Timothy also recognizes religious celebrations and observances that occur throughout the year. During the Advent season, students act out a Living Nativity, and students perform a Living Stations of the Cross during Lent. We honor the Blessed Mother by taking part in an annual May Crowning ceremony, including a school-wide recitation of the Rosary.

Students become closer to Christ through the sacraments. Second graders receive the Sacraments of Reconciliation and Holy Eucharist; eighth graders receive the Sacrament of Confirmation. Teachers provide sacramental preparation. The whole school community supports each person as a unique child of God and strives to help everyone achieve their full potential.
